E-mail Configuration for Microsoft Outlook 2016 (Mac)

Required: An E-mail account should already be created on the Exchange Server, a wired Internet connection on campus or VPN with uf.

Basic settings: mail.ufl.edu (Exchange mailboxes) for the mail server address


Step 1:

When you open Outlook for the first time, it may ask you for permissions.

Select Always Allow.



Step 2:

Click Start Using Outlook.



Step 3:

Select Add Account.



Step 4:

Select Exchange or Office 365.






Step 5:

Type in your GatorLink e-mail address in the form: username@ufl.edu

Make sure the method selected is User Name and Password.

Type in your username without @ufl.edu (if the setup fails then you can try it with @ufl.edu afterwards)

Type in your GatorLink Password.

Make sure the Configure automatically box is checked

Select Add Account.



Step 6:

This screen should come up next and your mail should begin importing automatically.



You can now close the Accounts window and browse your mail.
