UF Exchange Mail Configuration for iPad 2

These instructions require an active Exchange mailbox account.

Step 1:
Tap on Mail App

Step 2:

Tap on Microsoft Exchange

Step 3:

Enter:

  • Primary Email Address: username@ufl.edu or username@department.ufl.edu
    (where username is your GatorLink account username )
  • Domain Address:

For Exchange 2010 mailboxes, the server address is: mail.ufl.edu

  • Username: your GatorLink account username
  • Password: your GatorLink account password
  • Description: your own personal description, ( i.e. “My Exchange”)

Step 4:

Tap on Next

Step 5:

Tap the On button to sync contacts and/or calendars with mail server if so desired and Save settings.

Step 6:

A Password Requirement screen appears. Tap on Continue.

Step 7:

Create a new passcode and Continue.

Step 8:

If configured correctly, mail icon will indicate new mail in mailbox.

Possible Security Certificate Authentication Issues

1. Tap on Continue if prompted for inability to verify server identity.

2. Tap on Accept if prompted for Not Trusted Server Authentication
